Moving In and Out in Aspen

Change is nothing new for ski resort communities, especially when it comes to it’s retail outlets. This week, Aspen saw 4 new stores open for the ski season and a well-known hotel come on the market for sale.

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

According to the Farmer’s Almanac, heavy snow is expected in Colorado and the Rockies over the holiday season in late December, but we received our first real snow of the winter season yesterday.  Some reports say 12″ on the top of Snowmass Mountain while the city of Aspen received 5″ of the fluffy white stuff.

Benefit for Snowmass Village Family

The Snowmass ski patrollers are organizing a wonderful benefit event on Thursday, November 13th for Rachel Rausch who is 36 and battling Stage IV Lymphoma that has metastasized into her bone marrow.  Rachel and her husband Steve, a long-time Snowmass Ski Patroller and Summer Mountain Bike Ranger, are loving parents to their little girl Eva and are an integral part of the Roaring Fork Valley community.  It is only fitting that members of our great community are gathering to help them in their time of need.  (more…)
