Base Village Developer Receives Little Nell Approvals

Great news was received last night for the Base Village at Snowmass. The developer Related WestPac got its long-awaited final approval Monday night for a luxury condominium hotel that will be operated by the five-star Little Nell Hotel in Aspen. Presale contracts have been signed on 16 of the 27 residences. The developer needed the approvals to stay on a construction schedule for loan purposes and to have a better chance of securing future financing.
The Snowmass Village Town Council also recently approved minor changes to the second building of the Viceroy Hotel which is expected to open next season. The two hotels will total more than 250 units and will complete most of the second phase of the 600-unit total Base Village project. The developer has also committed to build or finance an arrival center by next ski season.
