The market will be held at Lions Park in downtown Basalt from 10a.m. to 3 p.m. each week with local vendors selling produce, yummy prepared food, merchandise and arts.  In addition, cooking, planting and dance demonstrations will be feautured each week.

One of the organizers of the Basalt Farmer’s Market, Kam Davies, said that “the goal of the market is to bring the Basalt community together, create sustainable vitality and support local businesses.”  The creators of the market vow that it will be unique and will not simply duplicate other local farmer’s markets in Aspen, Carbondale and Glenwood Springs.  Ten vendors have committed to the Basalt Sunday Market, with 15 to 20 needed in total.

Hi Rick – I actually have no affiliation with the Basalt summer market, but it’s a wonderful summer event. I wanted to blog about this for interested readers, but if you are interested in participating I suggest you contact the Basalt chamber directly.

    Kind regards,
