5 Point Film Festival at Carbondale, CO May 7-10
One of the biggest differences between Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley and other ski resort destinations is Aspen’s ability to attract very exclusive presentations and events. One of these great events will happen May 7th through the 10th in Carbondale–the 5Point Film Festival.
Celebrating our Common Spirit is the theme for the 2nd annual 5Point Film Festival, which brings filmmakers, authors and collaborators that are also adventurers, ecologists, and philanthropists to our active community to share ideas and experiences. “We highlight individuals who are out there making a difference in people’s lives every day with the hopes of passing on this example to generations of outdoor adventurers who gather here in Carbondale and beyond,” states Julie Kennedy, founder of 5Point Film Festival.
Some Highlights of the Festival include:
May 7th
Hans Florine, world renowned speed-climber, shares his experience climbing Yosemite’s El Capitan not once or twice, but 50 times.
May 8th
The African Revolutions Tour is a documentary about kayaking in Africa’s whitewater and the Sun Catchers Project, bringing solar power to African communities.
May 9th
The Annual Dandelion Days “Parade of the Species” down Main Street in Carbondale.
May 10th
