What is next for Snowmass Village?

Base VillageMike Kaplan, the CEO of Aspen Skiing Company, met with Snowmass Village Town Council for their biannual meeting. On-mountain plans, skier visits and other updates were on the agenda, but the largest  item of business is the future of Base Village, the partially built one million-square-foot development. Real Estate in Aspen’s Maroon Creek Club this Summer

Activity in the Aspen real estate market has picked up in the past 60 days, especially in the Maroon Creek Club neighborhood. Out of 14 single family homes listed on the market in the Maroon Creek Club, one sold in July and another home is under contract.  A 3rd home sold prior to being listed on the open market.

$43 Million Sale in Aspen, Colorado

Joshua & Co., the exclusive Aspen affiliate of Christie’s Great Estates, announces the closing today of a real estate transaction valued at $43,000,000. The property is located at the base of Red Mountain on Willoughby Way, one of Aspen’s most prestigious neighborhoods.

Joshua Saslove, president and founder of Joshua & Co., represented the Seller; Newton Bartley, also of Joshua & Co., represented the purchaser. This property was not listed in the Aspen MLS. 

This represents the largest single family residence sale in the United States for 2009 and one of the largest on record for the state of Colorado. The 20,000+ square foot residence is on 4.51acres and has 9 bedrooms.

Other noted sales by Joshua & Co. include the sale of the Historic Hotel Jerome in downtown Aspen in 2007 for $55,000,000, Crystal Island Ranch in 2006 for $47,000,000 and Mandalay Ranch in 2004 for $46,000,000.

Snowmass Free Concerts on Fanny Hill

Snowmass Village is the place to be for free concerts on Thursday evenings throughout the summer.  Celebrating its 18th season of fabulous, free summer music, all different musical genres are represented.  The concerts take place at the end of the Snowmass Village Mall on Fanny Hill, beginning at 6:15pm and ending at 8:30pm.  Please see the concert lineup below: (more…)
