This winter season in Aspen and Snowmass Village began with two amazing hotels opening for business. Viceroy Snowmass and The Little Nell both cater to the Aspen traveler looking for fantastic ski-in/ski-out access and luxurious accomodations.

Snowmass Village saw its newest hotel, Viceroy Snowmass, open over Thanksgiving Weekend. The hotel boasts a 70-foot long bar, poolside apres ski, and a 7,000-square foot spa.

Many of the other lodges were built in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, making this sophisticated, “California-chic” hotel stand out from its competition even more. Viceroy hotel has 173 rooms, but only the first three floors opened on November 26th due to the continuing construction on the upper levels. Viceroy Snowmass sold the individual rooms as a condo-hotel, allowing owners to use and rent the individual rooms through Viceroy Hotels and Resorts.  There are rooms still available for purchase–contact me at 970.618.7319 for more details.

The Little Nell hotel opened its doors for its 20th season on December 1st with completely remodeled hotel rooms. The famous designer, Holly Hunt, worked closely with the Crown family, owners of Aspen Skiing Company and The Little Nell, to create the perfect up-scale resort hotel room.

The Little Nell, Aspen’s only 5-star, 5-diamond hotel, spent $18 million on remodeling 86 of its 92 hotel rooms, and the lobby area.  The remaining six rooms were larger suites that had already been recently remodeled.  The Little Nell was given a more efficient lighting system in keeping with the sustainability goal of its parent company, Aspen Skiing Company.
