Winterskol 2010 is almost upon us in Aspen!  The Winterskol Committee has selected “Epic Steeps and Decades Deep” as the official slogan for the 59th annual Winterskol celebration,  January 14th – 17th, 2010.  Lodging packages are available at Limelight Lodge, Aspen Square, Viceroy Snowmass, Hotel Lenado and more.   Book packages at StayAspenSnowmass.com.   Following is a schedule of events for Epic Winterfest, an all-day festival and pre-fireworks celebration held on Saturday, January 16th in downtown Aspen on the Cooper Avenue Mall, presented by the Aspen Chamber Resort Association:

11 am: Canine Fashion Show – Aspen’s glamorous pooches gather in style

12 pm: K9 Kings – the ultimate flying dog show

1 pm: Live performance by the US Air Force Drum & Bugle Corps & the El Jebel Shrine Pipe Band

2 – 6 pm: Rocky Mountain Dee Jays rocks the mall

4 – 8:30 pm: Beer Garden at Bad Billy’s featuring Winterskol drink specials

5:45 pm:  Anderson Ranch announces Wintersculpt winners

6 pm:  A special Winterskol show by Crystal Palace Productions

6 – 8 pm: Free cookies and hot chocolate around the Cooper Mall Fire Hearth

6:15 – 8 pm: Live music by Jes Grew

8 pm: Torchlight Descent and Fireworks Extravaganza over Aspen Mountain
