Aspen Mountain Extends Ski Season

Aspen Skiing Company announced that they will keep the lifts running on Aspen Mountain for the weekends of April 17th-18th and April 24th-25th.   Aspen locals and visitors alike are quite excited!

The regular season closes April 11th for both Aspen and Snowmass Mountain.  The final day of the season for Buttermilk and Aspen Highlands is April 4th.

Tuesday’s snow report indicated a 54-inch base at the top of Aspen Mountain, with more snow in the forecast over the next few days.  Aspen Highlands has an 88-inch base and Snowmass Mountain reported a 79-inch base.  The Silver Queen Gondola at Aspen Mountain makes it easy to open runs at the top of the mountain and allow skiers and riders to download if conditions at the bottom deteriorate.

Local ski passes will be valid for the extended season and anyone with a valid ski pass from another Colorado resort can ski Aspen Mountain for a significantly reduced rate of $19 per day.  The walk-up lift ticket rate will be $39 for adults and $19 for kids ages 7 to 12.  6 and under can ski for free.

The Sundeck will be open and will have live music each day, so come enjoy the beautiful snow and great music!
