Real Estate Sales Numbers Up in April for Pitkin County
According to a report issued by Land Title Guarantee Co., the month of April saw real estate transactions in Pitkin County improve by 128 percent over April 2009. 71 real estate transactions were recorded in total, up 54 percent from 2009.
Aspen saw the highest number of transactions — 31. $168.8 million in sales transpired in April and Aspen accounted for $136.8 million of that figure, including the most expensive transaction of the year which was Aspen Skiing Co.’s acquisition of the Limelight Lodge in downtown Aspen for approximately $38 million.
Year to date, $376.5 million in sales has been recorded in Pitkin County, up almost 10% over the first four months of last year.
