Jazz Aspen Snowmass is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, and the performances will be ones to remember! As in the previous years, the festival is celebrated over two weekends in two locations–Aspen and Snowmass Village. The annual AVSC Nordic Bonfire Dinner, one of Aspen’s most unique winter outdoor fundraisers, will be held Saturday, January 9 from 6:00-8:00 PM. The event features an evening of cross-country skiing, eating, drinking, and socializing under the moon and stars at the Cross Country Center on the Aspen Golf Course. (more…)
A large group of Aspen’s second homeowners are from California. Now, a “local” Aspenite has found a home in California. Govenor Arnold Schwarzenegger came to Aspen in March on a work/leisure trip, and went home with a BIG memento.
This December 6th will be the 3rd Summit for Life fundraising event on Aspen Mountain. Hundreds will go UP, not down, Aspen Mountain this NIGHT, not day, to raise awareness for tissue and organ donation. (more…)
The Snowmass ski patrollers are organizing a wonderful benefit event on Thursday, November 13th for Rachel Rausch who is 36 and battling Stage IV Lymphoma that has metastasized into her bone marrow. Rachel and her husband Steve, a long-time Snowmass Ski Patroller and Summer Mountain Bike Ranger, are loving parents to their little girl Eva and are an integral part of the Roaring Fork Valley community.
