Mike Kaplan, the CEO of Aspen Skiing Company, met with Snowmass Village Town Council for their biannual meeting. On-mountain plans, skier visits and other updates were on the agenda, but the largest item of business is the future of Base Village, the partially built one million-square-foot development. (more…)

A large group of Aspen’s second homeowners are from California. Now, a “local” Aspenite has found a home in California. Govenor Arnold Schwarzenegger came to Aspen in March on a work/leisure trip, and went home with a BIG memento.
Basalt Bookstore Closing
Basalt’s TownCenter Booksellers will close at the end of March which is heartbreaking for members of the Basalt and Roaring Fork Valley community.
