Snowmass Ski Patroller Recovering

Snowmass Ski Patroller Tim Brown was seriously injured this past Sunday, February 13th, after hitting a tree during end of the day clear.  He was airlifted to Denver where he is receiving the best medical care possible.  Tim is a beloved member of patrol.  According to Tim’s friends and family surrounding him, his spirits are good and he is continuing to make progress this week.   Following is a link to Tim’s recovery blog.  His brother and friend created this blog so that all of Tim’s friends can follow his recovery in detail.  All best wishes, prayers and support go out to Tim!

Summer Activity at Snowmass

Aspen Skiing Company is planning to make the Elk Camp Meadows area the new hub of summer activity at Snowmass Ski Area.  Beginning around June 20th, new hiking and biking trails will be open, along with the Cafe Suzanne restaurant.  The Elk Camp gondola will run regularly.  If you would like to see disc golf and overnight camping allowed in this area, White River National Forest Staff are seeking public comments.
